Usti nad Labem Region

The Ústí nad Labem Region is located in the northwest of Bohemia. It borders Germany (Saxony) to the northwest, which is the longest part of its border. The border is mostly formed by the ridge of the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory).

In the interior, the volcanic Central Bohemian Uplands (České středohoří) stand out with its highest peak, Milešovka. The place where the Elbe leaves Czech territory at Hřensko is the lowest point of the republic (115 m). The most important protected area is the Bohemian Switzerland National Park (České Švýcarsko).
