Zlin Region

The Zlín Region forms the eastern part of Moravia. It is a region with a large area of protected landscape, including the Beskydy and White Carpathians (Bílé Karpaty), which cover about 30% of the territory.


The White Carpathians are one of the six UNESCO biosphere reserves in the Czech Republic. The region is known for its rich folklore traditions, spa heritage in Luhačovice, and the unique functionalist architecture of the city of Zlín.
